Minithon races are for Children up to the age of 14 (over seven races)
The Minithon races have been held safely in Poole Park for the past 29 years. All are on traffic free roads and are fully marshaled by experienced Running Club officials. Entrants of all standards are encouraged. There is a race clock at the finish gantry and plenty of opportunity for parents to support their children. A formal prize giving is held in the arena after the last race. In the past trophies have been presented by the Mayor of Poole. All finishers will receive a quality medal. Enter on-line or come along to Poole Park on Saturday 4th June 2016 and enter in person (if spaces available). Information about the event will be sent to all Poole and Bournemouth schools early in 2016.
We particularly welcome teams from schools and other youth organisations. As many team member’s as you wish can enter. Our results computer will select the first three home as the team. (Please ensure that all team members use exactly the same team name)
All races can be entered on-line, please click “Enter Races” on the main task-bar and then select the relevant race. For 2016 all Minithon Races will be “Chip Timed” . This entails all runners attaching a “chip” on each runners shoe laces. Chips will not be sent out but collected on Saturday 4th June or Sunday 5th June at least 60 minutes before the relevant race. Chips will be removed by member of Poole Runners at the finish of each race.
